Wildscreen Festival 2010 17-10-2010
I've just returned from Wildscreen Festival in Bristol, the world's biggest wildlife film festival. As a first-timer, I wasn't completely sure what to expect. There were film screenings, workshops, masterclasses with industry professionals, debates and plenty of opportunities to meet people and make contacts (oh and lots of free wine!). I booked onto two workshops, the underwater filming workshop with Doug Allan and Jeff Goodman, and a workshop in Digital Grading and Picture Manipulation. I met lots of lovely, lovely people, and lots of very inspirational ones. The film that was the talk of the town was Green by Patrick Rouxel. This was a very moving and eye opening film about orangutans and the destruction of the Indonesian rainforests, and well worth a watch here at www.greenthefilm.com.
